What would it take to get out of your comfort zone?
How long have you been in your comfort zone? It’s an easy place to linger.
We get comfortable in our routines.
We get comfortable in our work.
We get comfortable in our circle of friends or work colleagues.
What would it take for you to move outside of that comfort zone?
For some people, that impetus comes when a job ends — there is a lay-off or some other unanticipated loss of a job.
Perhaps a personal or family illness disrupts your comfort zone.
Covid was a great disrupter of comfort zones. We were no longer in the office with our co-workers. No more morning coffee break with colleagues or happy hours after work.
During the pandemic, we may have been cut-off from our circle of friends and family. Perhaps we had differences of opinions on masking or vaccines; and those differences disrupted routines.
Don’t wait for the disruption!
Getting outside of your comfort zone is a path to growth. Don’t wait for a disruption to move you out of your comfort zone.
Make a choice, every day, to move out of your comfort zone.
