I’ve just wrapped up another book in my 2023 Book Challenge — “Generations; The Real Differences between Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Boomers and Silents — and What They Mean for America’s Future” by Jean Twenge, PhD.

And in the past week I’ve recommended it to so many people, I’m going to recommend it to you, too!

Yes, much of this is ground covered elsewhere, but Dr. Twenge has pulled it all together in one place with some added insights into the very important differences between the generations.

It is so easy for us to be myopic with our view of the world — doesn’t everyone see things the same way we do? No, not if you came of age in a different time and place.

What are the different generations?

- The Silents — born 1925–1945

- Baby Boomers — born 1946–1964

- Gen X — born 1965–1979

- Millennials — born 1980–1994

- Gen Z — born 1995–2012

- Yet to be Named — born after 2012
