Excellent! Today i was having a discussion with someone about why the majority of the people in our county vote a certain way. I wish I had read this article before the conversation. Tribalism is the best explanation for it. People will vote against their own best interests in order to remain with the tribe. And it's very hard to ask people to go against the tribe.

My view is that people, in general, focus too much on their beliefs and don't understand the difference between a belief system and a value system.
